Thank you for your enquiry about the progress of CKD. I do not speak
german but have tried to translate your question. I am the CEO and
Managing Director of CKD. We no longer use Esvedra as our Investor
relations company in Germany. Until we find a replacement we will be
preparing our monthly reports and sending them to the shareholders we know
of. Soon we will establish a new web page and continue on as before
except I will write direct to the web page.
As for the share price, we are in the same situation as everyone. The
share market has lost confidence and the small cap exploration companies
like ours hav e been hit the hardest. As for our program we are about to
finalise our first target area for testing which was the Plooysburg
project. Unless things change dramatically we will not proceed with work
there after June. We have been finding diamonds and have found a few more
in the third pit but now enough to continue. This was our first target
area and what we call a "greenfields" area. This means it is untested
and although a greater risk it also can be the best reward. So far the
rewards are not there. Our next area is not "greenfields" but a known
area on the Vaal river. Because of the way we have worked in the past 18
months we are in a very good position to move onto this prospect. In
diamond exploration it is always very risky but this farm is a lower risk.
We are hoping to work profitably there for a few years while we continue
to look for prospective areas. I have also recent traveled to the
Democratic Republic of the Congo to look at a diamond concession there. I
am in negotiations with the Congolese concession holder to develop this as
well. It may take until Christmas to finalise these negotiations or if we
are not happy with the terms we will not continue there. We have a few
other prospects to choose from and we still have enough funds in the bank
to work without any outside income. With the new projects we are aiming
to be cash flow positive soon.
Exploration is a very risky business. But having said that and knowing
the Plooysburg has not proven up to our hopes we are still in a good
position as we own our own recovery plant and have a very professional
team in place as well as having cash in the bank. Because of this I have
just bought another 600,000 shares myself. I thank you again for your

An alle Kimberliten: Hier mal Fakten und keine Spekulationen oder Weibergewaesch. Neuer Statusbericht von DIA 27/05/2008.
Meine Zusammenfassung (nicht vollstaendig):
1.§Plooysburg hat sich als nicht wirtschaftlich erwiesen. Das Projekt ist abgehakt.
2.§ Kongo Es wird ueber Konzessionen fuer 2 Gebiete verhandelt. Es scheint mir schon fortgeschritten zu sein, da bereits ueber eine Kongolesische Tochterfirma (51% gehalten von DIA) nachgedacht wird.
3.§ Parallel zu Kongo: Vaal-Tal und Orang-Tal Gebiete liegen angrenzend zu schon Diamanten produzierenden Feldern. Das soll die Chancen auf Diamantenfunde erhoehen. Sollte dies klappen waere man in den gruenen Zahlen bis Weihnachten 2008.
4.§Lehmann sagt ganz klar, dass Geld da ist um ueber mindestens ein Jahr weiter zu machen (Das waere Mai 2009). Alles andere sind Milchmaedchenrechnungen.

Central Kimberley Diamonds Ltd. Status Report May 2008-DRC-
We have concluded a partnership agreement with our Congolese partner Augustin Kamonda for the 2 concessions on the Longishemo and Tshikapa rivers. We will sign the agreement in the beginning of June. The next stage is to set up a Congolese registered company in which we will hold a 51% interest. This company will be called CK Congo P/L. Once this is done the concessions will be transferred to the new company and we will begin our exploration program. We are dependent on the legal system in the Congo and the Government Department of Mines on the timing of the transfer. As this is out of our control all we can do in the meantime is plan our next steps. The program will begin with a small scale sampling and a drilling to determine the extent of the gravels on the river banks. Once we have done this we can proceed to a larger bulk sample to determine the quality and grade (number of cts per ton) of the diamonds. With this information we can decide on a pilot plant to test the viability of a full scale operation. Our concessions are on the Tshikapa and Londgoshemo rivers. These are both in the Angolan craton district of the DRC. Rivers in this area flow north from Angola into the DRC and have been a source of diamonds for many decades. There are also kimberlite pipes in the area that can also contribute to the concentration of diamonds in the alluvial gravels on the concessions.Once we are established in the area as we have become in the Kimberley area we anticipate further opportunities to come our way. I will be sending a few photos of my recent trip to the sight in the next few weeks.
Plooysburg- We have treated approx 15% of the gravels from Pit 3 and recovered a couple more diamonds, .77 ct and .85 carat. Again this is too low a background recovery to indicate an economic source. The progress is being hampered by rains but the program should be finished by the end of July. As we dig deeper we have a better chance of finding more and larger diamonds.Vaal River Project- Our negotiations are nearly complete and we are waiting for the prospecting license to be issued. Once this is done we will begin mobilizing a diamond recovery plant to this known diamond producing area. There are currently mines operated on both sides of this concession so we feel confident this is a highly prospective area. Sales of Polished diamonds form Plooysburg- We have sold a few diamonds already and have about 10 left. Once we get our web page up and going again we will offer them again on that forum. Meanwhile those who are interested in a diamond form your own diamond mine can contact us and we can arrange the sale and delivery.
Web Page future- We have just about finalized the transfer of the web page management back to the head office in Perth. Once that is done we can post the status reports on the web Page again. In the meantime I have had some enquiries about the financial status of the company. We have changed our focus from greenfields operations like Plooysburg and Middlewater to known diamond producing areas like the Vaal River and Orange River projects. The idea is to become cash flow positive before Christmas. With exploration we only have expenses except for the sales of a few diamonds recovered from Plooysburg and interest earned on money on deposit. This is typical of exploration companies all over the world.
We have more than a year’s finance still with the added advantage of also owning our own plant and earth moving equipment. This was a decision made early on in the program and it is proving to be a very valuable one. Because we own the equipment we are being approached by license holders to work with them in known diamond areas. As a consequence I believe we are in the strongest position we have been in since listing. At the beginning we had an exciting greenfields project at Plooysburg and up to date we would have to say it has not lived up to our hopes. But in the meantime we have established a presence on the ground and put together a good team. These things do not show up in the balance sheets but are very valuable to the company.

Naja, es war ja abzusehn dass Plooysburg Pit 3 schnellstmoeglich abgehakt werden muss.
Vielleicht hat Lehman ja im Kongo oder bein Vaal River Project Glueck. Was ist denn mit dem Orange River Project? Vergessen wir mal lieber die paar Verkaeufe von Diamanten.
Positiv ist dass Lehmann weiter versucht DIA voranzubringen und ja noch Geld bis Mitte 2009 hat. Auserdem - viel weiter kann das Teil nicht mehr fallen ;-) Also abwarten und hoffen - auf das Glueck des Tuechtigen.

Sobald unsere neuen Projekte unter Dach und Fach sind, werden wir in den kommenden Wochen weitere in einem Newsletter zusammenfassen.
PLOOYSBURG – Das Explorationsprogramm in Plooysburg ist beendet. Der Diamantenfund vom Grundkies hat sich zwar verdoppelt, ist jedoch immer noch nicht genug, um das Programm in eine Pilotmiene zu transformieren. Deshalb hat CKD entschlossen, sich aus dem Plooysburg Gebiet zurückzuziehen und sich auf neue Gebiete, welche in der Nähe von Douglas sich befinden, zu konzentrieren. Sobald die Wiederherstellung der Grube 3 komplettiert ist, können wir unsere Maschinen in die neuen Gebiete transportieren.
VAAL RIVER – CKD steht kurz davor zwei Lizenzen im Gebiet Vaal River zu unterzeichnen. Im ersten Gebiet hat CKD Erkundungsarbeiten geleistet, was dazu führte, dass wöchentlich mehr Ressourcen hinzukommen, obgleich unser Grabungsprogramm weiterhin besteht. Aufgrund des fortgeschrittenen Verhandlungsstands haben wir unsere Hauptmaschine auf dieses Grundstück gebracht. Wir häufen den Kies bereits auf, damit wir mit dem Verarbeitungsprozess sofort starten können, sobald wir die Lizenz unterzeichnet haben. Außerdem haben wir mit Verhandlungen für das Gebiet gegenüberliegend des Vaal Rivers begonnen. Wir hoffen, dass wir beide Projekte gleichzeitig führen und somit von einer Kostenersparnis aufgrund der Massenproduktion profitieren können.
KONGO – CKD hat ein Treffen mit den Interessensgruppen und dem Managing Director organisiert, um zu entscheiden, wie das weitere Vorgehen in den sehr spannenden Konzessionen rund um die Regionen rund den Longashim und Tshikapa Fluss. Die Firma hat auch mit Gesprächen für das große Gebiet rund um den Kasai Fluss begonnen. Wie bereits erwähnt, wird dies aufgrund der Arbeitskonditionen im Kongo einige Zeit beanspruchen. Es ist im Sinne der Geschäftsleitung, dass zuerst auf einen positiven Cash-Flow in Südafrika geschaut wird, bevor zu viele Ressourcen nach Kongo verpflichtet werden.

Der Anstieg
des Kurses ist nur auf 8.000,-€ zurückzuführen. Satusbericht ist ok, der Kursanstieg hat bei dem mickrigem Volumen aber nichts zu bedeuten. Das kann morgen genauso in die andere Richtung gehen.

Das mit den Linzen ist gut; aber wichtig ist, dass endlich ein Diamantenvorkommen von ausreichender Größe gefunden und erschlossen wird. bis dahin ist alles reine Spekulation und ein Totalverlust wahrscheinlicher als ein Höhenflug des Aktienkurses.

FIRST DAY OF SORTING PRODUCES DIAMONDS FOR CENTRAL KIMBERLEY DIAMONDS AT THEIR NEW PROJECT ON THE VAAL RIVER IN SOUTH AFRICA
After processing an initial sample of approximately 3000 tons of gravel at their newly acquired project on the Vaal River, Central Kimberley Diamonds (CKD) has recovered eight gem quality diamonds with a total weight of 5.9 carats. CKD’s Managing Director, James Lehman said that “this is an exciting start to our new project. Although it is too early to reflect on the economic potential of the project, these early results prove that good quality and large-sized diamonds are to be found here.” Lehman adds that “the results are consistent with diamond recoveries of other operations in the near vicinity that have sustained mining for many years.”
CKD has been working hard to establish itself as a diamond producer in South Africa, having first established a presence there in 2003. “Our long term operations and corporate management strategy is starting to pay off” says Lehman “we have critically assessed many projects over the years and have sought to put together a local expert team with our own equipment. We now feel that we can acquire, test and operate diamond properties with a high degree of success. These early results at our new project on the Vaal vindicate this.
