ATLANTIC-ACM Honors Level 3 with Best-in-Class Enterprise Awards for Network Performance and Brand13:05 27.06.13

PR Newswire

BROOMFIELD, Colo., June 27, 2013

BROOMFIELD, Colo., June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) today announced that it has received two best-in-class ATLANTIC-ACM Carrier Excellence Awards for Business Connectivity. For the third consecutive year, Level 3 won first-place awards in the Network Performance and Brand categories of the Large Service Provider group.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20111004/LA77008LOGO)

ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research company, announced the awards last night at a ceremony in New York City. The awards are based on results from the 2013 North American Business Connectivity Report Card. Carriers are rated in key product and service categories based on nearly 5,000 individual provider ratings from a mix of small, medium and large enterprise survey participants. The Network Performance category is the perception of each carrier's network performance based on their network's quality, availability and uptime. The Brand category measures perception of each carrier's corporate image.

"We are honored to receive these two noteworthy awards, which are testament to the superior customer experience provided by Level 3," said Andrew Crouch, Level 3 regional president of North America. "In particular, achieving the highest score for the brand category demonstrates the positive customer perception of Level 3 broadly, based on distinguishing attributes such as our responsiveness to customer needs and the quality of our services. It's very gratifying to receive this customer validation of where we believe we excel in the market."

Since 1995, the ATLANTIC-ACM Report Card series has been a principal source of carrier performance benchmarking information for the telecom industry. The Large Service Provider group is defined by the research firm as carriers who earn $1.0 billion or more annually in business services revenue, according to ATLANTIC-ACM's 2013 U.S. Telecom Sizing and Share Report.

"Level 3's two Best In Class awards in key categories reflect their continued effort to beat enterprise customer expectations where it counts, as our end-user surveys find that network performance is the most important criteria influencing purchasing decisions," said Judy Reed Smith, ATLANTIC-ACM's chief executive officer. "Earning the award for top corporate image, along with strong network quality, indicates Level 3 is working hard to deliver high-quality service, responsibly."

13:05 06.02.14

PR Newswire

LONDON, Feb. 6, 2014

LONDON, Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) today announced that Hogarth Worldwide Limited has selected its network connectivity and colocation services to enable secure global sharing and back-up of large TV, print and digital production files across four continents.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20130415/LA93971-b)

Part of WPP Group, and a world leader in marketing communications services, Hogarth Worldwide is rapidly expanding its global footprint. The company needs scalable connectivity to support video, digital and print advertising production facilities, which are growing at a rate of approximately 0.5 terabytes of additional content every week.

Multiple production teams of up to 100 people, located throughout North America, Europe, Asia and South America, will rely on Level 3's international 10GigE wavelengths and VPLS (Virtual Private LAN Service) to securely share content, enabling it to be tailored for local markets. Because of the sensitive, mission-critical content Hogarth works with on a daily basis, the company needed a way to ensure its documents and projects were secure and accessible at any time. Therefore, Hogarth selected Level 3's colocation and London datacenter services to provide an additional layer of redundancy.

"The sharing and localization of digital assets is central to our global growth," said Dino Ciminiello, Group IT Director at Hogarth Worldwide. "We selected Level 3 to enable this level of collaboration as we need a network partner of truly international scale with the capacity to grow alongside our demands."

He added: "In addition, Level 3 understands the importance of data integrity, providing secure data transmission using VPLS, as well as significant redundancy capabilities -- all backed up with support. This is vital for our business continuity and disaster recovery strategy."

Level 3's wavelengths are designed for delivering demanding content and are available at speeds up to 100GigE. Level 3's VPLS will also allow Hogarth Worldwide's users in London, New York, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Bucharest, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sao Paulo and Mexico City to communicate over a fully meshed private network, allowing globally dispersed locations to share data securely.

Tim Passingham, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Business, EMEA at Level 3, said, "Marketing and advertising requires scalable connectivity because it is an incredibly dynamic market continually responding to emerging rich media trends.  With our ability to deliver this type of content for businesses around the world, the Level 3 network is well positioned to support Hogarth Worldwide's international growth objectives."

BROOMFIELD, Colorado, 20.

Abbildung 1 – Quelle: Level 3 Communications, 2014.
