Investing in Graphite - Prices Up 250% Already

Now is the time to take advantage of the graphite bull.
Prices for the mineral have surged 250% in the past few years thanks to a number of factors.
Here's what you need to know...
Investing in Graphite
For starters, graphite is kind of in a “rare earth” type situation because 70% of supply is controlled by China.
Industrialization in that country — as well as in India and other emerging markets — has led to increased demand for graphite in its traditional use as an additive to steel.
The 30% of supply that comes from outside of China is typically used in full by the country where it's mined..
There's only a handful operating graphite mines in the entire world.
So take a look at what all those various market factors have done to graphite prices in the last five years..

Amorphous graphite is a very fine material that does not compete much with flake but this is further evidence of the consolidation and modernization of the Chinese mining industries to improve resource management practices and labor and environmental standards. This usually has the effect of eliminating marginal producers, lowering supply and increasing prices. It also demonstrates that control of resources, value added processing and restrictions on exports do not just apply to REEs. This increases the probability the Chinese government will do something with flake as well which is the high growth, high value end of the market and the material used for Li ion batteries.
This is actually good news for our competitors because they will produce a lot of -150 mesh micro flake which competes more directly with amorphous. One of the concerns is that as new mines come on stream this stuff will go into oversupply and be difficult to sell as it is not the high growth market. This will alleviate some of the concerns. Our production is all larger flake.

Wie bereits gestern Abend vermutet bauen wir hier auf diesem Niveau erstmal einen Boden. Eine der wenigen Graphite-Aktien, die nicht ins Bodenlose fällt. Wäre sie wieder bei 1,80 Euro hätte ich noch mal was nachgelegt. 5-Tageschart sieht auch gut aus...

Derweil liefern sich Focus Metals und Northern Graphite ein Rennen um die nächste, bedeutende Graphit-Mine eines börsengelisteten Unternehmens in Kanada.
Northern Graphite plant mit der Konstruktion der Mine noch im 3. Quartal 2012 zu beginnen. Zwischen dem 3. und 4. Quartal 2013 soll die Produktion aufgenommen werden. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt soll die Mine 19.000 Tonnen Graphit pro Jahr über einen Zeitraum von mehr als 40 Jahren fördern. Die finale Wirschaftlichkeitstudie und den Genehmigungsprozess der Mine auf dem Bissett Projekt will Northern Graphite bis Ende des Jahres vollständig abschließen. Es ist sehr vorteilhaft, dass die gesamte Ressource von diesem Deposit nur in geringer Tiefe liegt, und schon knapp unter der Erdoberfäche beginnt. Die Auswirkungen auf die Kosten der Förderung sind bedeutend. Northern Graphite wird mit dem lukrativen Open Pit Verfahren, das mineralisierte Erz aus dem Boden holen. Northern Graphite konnte auch mit der jüngsten Kapitalaufnahme in vielen Hinsichten glänzen. Sie schonten nicht nur erfolgreich die Verwässerung, sondern konnten neue renommierte Investoren für die Story begeistern. Die Finanzbotique Sprott und der erfolgreichste Rohstoffinvestor Rick Rule stiegen im großen Stil ein.

das image von ngc scheint sich im verhältnis zu anderen graphitewerten zu ändern. einen guten vergleich kann man hier einsehen: http://us2.campaign-archive2.com/...mp;id=f7e7ba3075&e=99e74402b1 darin heißt es, dass focus doch nicht benachteilligt gegenüber ngc im hinblick auf "jumboflakes" wäre: Focus Metals will not net as a high price overall per tonne of graphite produced, but they will produce 6 times more graphite per tonne than Northern Graphite making it extremely high value inspite of naysayers opinions about Lac Knife Graphite. The big negative I hear is not enough jumbo distribution. I got news for you folks; the Lac knife grade for jumbo flake alone is 2.57%Cg. That is more than the overall grade at Bisset Creek.
Anscheinend wäre eine schlechtere Nachrichtenlage und die bisherige Verwässerung für Focus schlecht gewesen. Beide Probleme hat man aber überwunden.
Auch Energizer und vorallem Strike Graphite (angeblich vielfaches an Potenzial von Bisset Creek) kommen in diesem Artikel sehr gut weg. Denke NGC ist natürlich nachwievor noch ein Top-Wert, bei der erstarkenden Konkurrenz jedoch, scheinen sich die Gewichte zu veschieben oder?
zu viel euphorie publiziert wird.
--viele hersteller wie zb.sgl carbon verwenden viel künstlich hergestelltes graphit.
--viele batterie hersteller und möchtegern anwender, müssen noch sehr viel in forschung und technik stellen um irgendwann graphit in grosen mengen ein zusetzen.
ich lase mich aber gern vom gegenteil überzeugen
